ROSS Services Ltd is an independent verification, validation and assurance service provider headquartered in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom. We specialise in greenhouse gas verification, carbon neutrality validation, and sustainability report assurance for organisations that need their environmental and ESG claims tested through independent scrutiny.
Our Profile & Structure
Registered in the UK in June 2023, ROSS is led by three working partners and supported by a twelve-strong offsite delivery team, with in-house software development capability tailored for the sustainable development industry.
We are a licensed assurance service provider (AA1000), a licensed accounting services provider covering financial and non-financial services, and an affiliate member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), UK & Ireland.
Our Story
Our founders spent their careers inside the world's leading testing, inspection and certification (TIC) organisations — designing global assurance frameworks, developing verification procedures, and training assurance teams across continents.
ROSS Services was built to bring that same institutional-grade rigour to clients directly: the discipline of a global certification body, delivered with the responsiveness and technical depth of a specialist practice.
Our management system is built in line with ISO 17029:2019 and ISO 14065:2020 — the international standards governing validation and verification bodies — with our quality management aligned to ISQM 1 and ethics-related governance aligned to the IESBA/IESSA Code.

Impartiality
Verification only has value if it is independent. We maintain a documented impartiality framework, conflict-of-interest screening for every engagement, and strict separation between our assurance and consultancy practices. We do not carry out assurance for clients engaging us for advisory or training projects.
Competence
Every engagement is led by a qualified lead verifier with sector-relevant experience. We invest continuously in scheme qualifications, standards development participation, and peer reviews to remain at the forefront of sustainability assurance.

Our opinions are grounded in a risk-based, evidence-first methodology — materiality assessment, sampling plans, source-to-output audit trails, and documented professional judgment that holds up to external scrutiny.

Indika Edussuriya
Principal Consultant & Lead VerifierIndika brings extensive sustainability leadership, including 16 years in consultancy and assurance and 8 years specialising in climate and ESG due diligence. He has led 200+ sustainability assurance engagements across the UK, USA, Netherlands, France and UAE, with over 3,000 man-days of sustainability assurance work carried out.
His previous roles include Global Sustainability Reporting & Assurance Technical Leader for SGS Global, Global Technical Manager for ESG at TÜV Rheinland Group, and Principal Sustainability Consultant at SGS United Kingdom.
He has served as a UKAS-appointed technical expert on the convergence of accounting and accreditation standards for sustainability assurance, and is a working group member of the TIC Council (voluntary CSRD assurance) and the IIOA Sustainability Group.

Amila Mihiripenne
Director & Lead VerifierAmila is an ISO 14064-3 Lead Verifier and a Director of ROSS Services. A qualified accounting technician (MAAT), she is a licensed accountant regulated by the Association of Accounting Technicians to engage in public practice in limited assurance engagements and internal audit (Tier 1), budgeting and forecasting and management accounting (Tier 3), and computerised accountancy systems (Tier 4).
This financial-practice discipline underpins credible non-financial assurance: ensuring data governance, robust reconciliations, clear audit trails, and quantitative evidence testing across all carbon validation workflows.
